CFMA Houston is introducing The Martin P. Eckert Scholarship Program. Named after one of CFMA Houston founders and CFMA’s National Chairman 1988-1989, Martin P. Eckert Scholarship Fund is established to promote the further education and career advancement of individuals pursuing careers in accounting and construction or a construction related industry. The goal of the Martin P. Eckert Scholarship is to increase student awareness of CFMA and careers in the construction industry.
The scholarship is intended for full or part-time students with a graduate or undergraduate degree plan in accounting, business (construction emphasis), engineering, construction management, or architecture, or successful completion of Certified Construction Industry Finance Professional (CCIFP) exam. All candidates who apply by the deadline and meet the minimum requirements specified in the instructions are eligible for scholarships. This scholarship fund is an investment in the field of construction, and in the greater Houston area. They provide CFMA members, their families and other promising construction professionals with financial assistance while completing their studies.
