Description of Program: This presentation provides a detailed, data-driven update of the performance of the global, national, and relevant regional economy. Special attention is given to key aspects of economic life, including trends characterizing financial, real estate, energy, and labor markets and their collective impact on the outlook for construction.

 

About the Speaker: 

Basu%20Cover.jpgAnirban Basu is Chairman & CEO of Sage Policy Group, an economic and policy consulting firm in Baltimore, Maryland that he founded in 2006.  Mr. Basu provides consulting services to numerous clients, including prominent developers, bankers, brokerage houses, energy suppliers, law firms and business associations.  He has also written several high-profile economic development strategies on behalf of government agencies and non-profit organizations.  Among other things, Mr. Basu serves as the chief economist to Associated Builders and Contractors and as chief economic advisor to the CFMA.  Mr. Basu has a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, a Master’s in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, and has done doctoral work in health economics at UMBC.
